I am a professor of statistics in the Department of Information Systems, Data Analytics and Operations at ESSEC Business School, in Paris, France. Welcome to my personal webpage.
My research concerns the development of statistical methods, such as Monte Carlo methods for numerical integration and Bayesian inference.
My teaching includes introductory courses on data analysis, forecasting, time series, and Bayesian inference. I also coordinate the Data Analytics track of the PhD program.
My group is currently funded by en ERC Consolidator grant (2025-2030), and works primarily on Unbiased MCMC. Resources and bibliographic references on Unbiased MCMC can be found on https://pierrejacob.quarto.pub/unbiased-mcmc/.
My other roles include being an Associate Editor of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series B, and secretary of the Research Section Committee of the of the Royal Statistical Society.
